Eagerly Awaiting...

Just splurged on this fabulous pair of Jeffrey Campbell Two-Tone Wedges from Urban Outfitters:

I am SO excited for these leather-suede babies to arrive in the mail. I only hope they fit as well and are as comfortable as everyone says.

Landry (this is for you Danielle)

A month or so ago, my housemates and I were playing the board game Loaded Questions: Adult Version, when my dear friend Danielle coined the term "landry," otherwise pronounced "lingery," also known as lingerie.

Inspired by this precious moment, I've decided to do a long overdue post on the most important clothing item -- underwear -- because after all, if you don't feel good, you won't look it either. And comfort is of course, just as important, so here are some of the softest and sexiest landry I lust over.

Seriously Comfortable

My new American Apparel cotton spandex jersey halter leotard came in the mail today after over two weeks of waiting. I guess that's what I get for being a poor student and choosing the cheapest shipping option.

But I'm so glad it's here now... perfect time for my good friend's 21st birthday festivities next week. I'm so excited to get to wear it, especially now that Boston weather has started to warm up.

Worn with my Silence & Noise harem trousers from Urban outfitters. I love the juxtaposition of the soft flowing pale grey against the tight dark black. And it's quite the surprise -- modest in the front, but bold in the back.

Onesies have never looked this good since infancy.

Onesies, rompers, jumpers... whatever you call them, there's no denying they are the hottest must-have item of the summer. They are the new sundress; one piece and effortlessly stylish no matter what kind of occasion, and they are virtually a no-brainer. They come in all styles -- halter, spaghetti-strapped, strapless, racerback -- and in all fabrics as well -- silk, linen, terry cloth, chino, denim -- though I much prefer the ones made of jersey and cotton because they are much more versatile. Dress one down with five dollar flip flops and some sunscreen, or dress one up in sky-high heels and big jewelry and you've got the perfect outfit that takes mere seconds to put on (or take off).

Here are some of my favorite choices, though you can find them at plenty of other stores including Zara, Forever 21, Target, Bloomingdales... you get the idea:

Urban Outfitters

Silence & Noise Ruffle Front Halter Onesie

I bought one just like the tri-blend halter romper from American Apparel yesterday and I am so excited to wear it: to the beach over a bikini with flip flops, to a party with wedges and layered necklaces, on a date with a belt, tailored blazer and gladiators... the list of ways to wear this thing goes on and on...

What I do best.

Procrastination, wasting time, and all around not ever doing what I'm supposed to be doing is probably the thing I'm best at.

Like, if I'm in class, why bother listening to the lecture? I like shopping.

Urban Outfitters is a favorite of mine. It has cute, affordable clothes, but it also has a lot of cool things to fill your house with. And considering I just signed a lease on a place for next semester, I couldn't resist doing a little online browsing (I'm trying to plan out what I want my bedroom to look like). But the thing is, I just had to take a quick detour to the apparel section of urbanoutfitters.com, and I fell in love with three pairs of shoes.

PLV by Pour La Victoire Oxford Heel, $158.00

Lauren Moffatt Bedford Sandal, $158.00

Ecote Pyramid Gladiator, $48.00

And with the weather warming up, I'm especially thrilled about these finds. I can't wait until I can run around bare-legged again!

Kicks

Apparently I'm on a shoe kick, since my last post was about them too. I went shopping with my good friend Jenny downtown yesterday, and I couldn't help but drool over all the shoe sales happening now. I didn't end up buying any shoes, partially because I spent my money on a purse, underwear, a bomber jacket, and a few tops, but boy did I want to.

As big as I am on quality, I've always been a bigger fan of quantity -- I love having a lot of things in my wardrobe that I can mix and match to make a ton of different outfits. I get bored easily, I can't help it. There are three stores in particular that I'm a big supporter of. They all have a large selection of very cute shoes that are pretty good quality, and if you know when to go, you'll save a lot. Currently most stores are having big clearance sales since it's the end of the holiday season -- at Aldo you can save over 70% on some styles even.

Here are some of the best deals I found:
